I am very depressed. I just got my first invitation to join AARP. Pretty young Asian girls offer me their seats on the bus rather than the other way around. I can remember seeing President Kennedy’s funeral on television, as well as remembering Johnson, Nixon, Ford… and I voted for Jimmy Carter when I was 18 years old. I have watched this country go down hill on a greased slide since Reagan was elected. At the same time I have also watched this country become more wonderful and magical than anything I have ever dreamed of as a young man. Maybe we can’t have one without the other.

Don’t be so depressed, you old codger. I have been enjoying the P. Hilton photos. Please post more of them.
Or at least email me the source so I can download my own collection.
If only she could act, she make a superb president.

Yes, I can see where you are coming from regarding the U.S.A and in the rest of the Western world being on a greased slide into oblivion since the Reagan years. Some might even say since the year of my birth, 1968.
I can also see the magic and the wonder that you spoke about though. These things rise, Phoenix-like, from the ashes of destruction.
